The short version
Montaj does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. All video editing, AI processing, and file operations happen entirely on your Mac. We have no servers, no analytics, and no telemetry.
Data collection
We collect zero data. No usage analytics, no crash reports, no device identifiers, no IP addresses. Montaj runs completely offline and never phones home.
AI processing
All AI features — auto captions, background removal, noise reduction — use on-device models powered by Apple's Core ML framework. Your audio and video are never sent to any external server.
Your content
You retain full ownership of all content created with Montaj. We claim no rights to your videos, audio, images, or projects. Unlike some competitors, we will never use your content for training AI models or any other purpose.
Third-party services
Montaj does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. If you purchase Montaj Pro, the transaction is handled by Paddle (our payment provider), subject to Paddle's own privacy policy.
